Role Profile

As a Product Engineer for “Filter and Dryer Belts” you are responsible for the specific product group´s requirements and related technical fabrication solutions. You know the filtration and drying equipment, used in various industrial applications and related product specifications and standards. You know the used manufacturing processes, equipment and technologies in detail and define and validate the most suitable fabrication methods to market the product in line with the Business Segment and specific Industry strategy. Your Tasks:

• Global product family responsible for fabricated products used on specific filtration or drying equipment such as Horizontal Vacuum Belt Filters, Vacuum Belt Dryers, etc.  Define competitive, fit for use product groups for the accordant equipment considering the whole Sefar value chain;


• Define product group specifications and standards as well as cost down measures;


• Initiate and support equipment specific activities for defined product groups, taking into account specific Industries’ and OEM’s requirements;


• Identifies, evaluates and propose quality opportunities;


• Build-up, share and document detailed equipment, product group knowledge and trouble shooting skills for the customer, sales and production departments;


• Identify and introduce technology and product improvement opportunities through collaboration with production and process engineering;


• Contribute to the global standardization of fabrics in cooperation with the Global Lead Filter Media Platforms;


• Contribute to the global standardization and sharing of best practices of fabricated items in cooperation with the Global Lead Fabrication;

Our Requirements

• Education: Bachelor or Master-Degree in Engineering and Textile and/or Mechanical Separation. Filtration and Drying Equipment background is an advantage


• Knowledge and experience in engineering and managing industrial products; Strong problem-solving ability; Proven skills in cross-thinking; Ability to think creatively and innovatively;


• Strong decision making and transparent communication skills; Ability to resolve disputes and conflicts;


• Demonstrated ability to cooperate in international, cross-functional teams; to build a network beyond direct reporting lines;


• Target and solution-oriented, role model function, subtle assertiveness, strong sense of responsibility for own actions, consistent behavior towards oneself and the environment;


• Broad knowledge and experience in the filtration industry or filtration equipment manufacturer (OEM) or filter products manufacturing technologies.


• Strong communication and enthusiasm skills combined with a reliable and independent way of working;


• You are a team player, flexible, motivated and have analytical and networked thinking and enjoy diverse and varied activities;


• Very good English skills in verbal and written form. Willingness for international travelling is a matter of course.
