Main responsibilities:

As Campus Safety Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:

In collaboration with our Security team, ensure that students, employees, and visitors can live, study, work, and visit our Campus in a safe and secure environment, all in full compliance with Swiss legislation requirements, company policies and stakeholder expectations.

Act as primary contact person for the external security provider. Coordinate overall campus security and oversee daily security measures.

Collaboratively ensure that a first response emergency and security system is in place, that processes are established and operational, as well as ensure professional relationships with key security stakeholders, such as civil protection, municipal, cantonal police, and rescue services.

Contribute to the dissemination and promotion of safety information to students and employees. Have an attitude of active prevention and the desire to train.

Assist with students in emergencies and act as an intermediary agency with local authorities.

Identify and report violations of the code of conduct committed by students and support investigations.

Support campus operations and infrastructure departments on all projects relating to security infrastructure and fire systems.

Participate in the organization of events, including supervising all aspects related to security and safety. Assist with different tasks during student check-in and check-out periods.

Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Campus Safety Coordinator, preferably qualified as a Workplace Safety Specialist (MSST). You have relevant experience in the security field, with safety and health regulations and standards.

You have a secondary school diploma and have been a member of a police force or specialized in life safety, first aid, security, and health and environment (SHE).

You know how to manage a crisis, conflict, or emergency in a safe, professional, and effective manner. You are autonomous in decision-making, can handle unforeseen situations, and have strong communication skills.

You are reliable, empathetic, and determined.

You speak French fluently and have a very good command of English, both spoken and written. Other foreign languages are a major asset.

Good knowledge of MS Office applications is required.

You have a valid Swiss work permit and bring a clean criminal record.
