Roche Diagnostics Switzerland (Swiss affiliate) is currently looking for motivated individuals who not only “do” but are also people who influence change and make a difference. The team is always looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who are self-motivated in their work and careers.
The identified candidate will report directly to the General Manager of Roche Diagnostics Switzerland - with a dotted line to the Head of Legal & Compliance EMEA-LATAM – and will be a member of the Roche Diagnostics Switzerland Enabling Team. The identified candidate will be responsible for the Legal function in Roche Diagnostics Switzerland and act as a business partner in providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of strategic and operational matters. The candidate will be able to identify legal challenges and opportunities for Switzerland, providing effective legal advice to all levels of the commercial organization.

Provide legal advice on commercial arrangements, challenges, and opportunities to all levels of the business
Collaborate with colleagues from the commercial organization to understand business needs and provide legal expertise on projects and digital initiatives
Conduct legal research and provide daily advice on antitrust, data privacy, commercial arrangements, public procurement, anti bribery regulations, and product liability
Draft, review, and negotiate business contracts and precedents, including Sales Agreements, Services Agreements, Supply and Partnership Contracts, Business Promotion Agreements, License and Lease Agreements
Design, implement, and continuously improve policies and procedures related to legal matters, such as contract management, privacy, antitrust, and medical device advertisements
Advise on new aspects of the law to ensure continuous legal compliance, considering new business models and digitalization, such as data sharing arrangements and e-commerce
Manage corporate law matters, coordinate with Group Legal, M&A and other lawyers, and stay updated on legislative developments to provide proactive advice and training to employees
As our ideal candidate you have a Masters degree in Law (MLaw, lic.iur.) from a University in Switzerland or foreign equivalent and admission to the bar in Switzerland. Postgraduate studies (LL.M. or equivalent) in Business Law is a plus for sure. On top you bring a minimum of 5 years professional experience in a multinational company or at a well-respected law firm in Switzerland - preferably in the life sciences industry (e.g. diagnostics, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry). Your professional experience and expertise should also be collected in the fields of commercial contract law (supply and distribution/sales), Swiss and European competition law, Swiss Data Privacy Law or Public Procurement Laws. Your knowledge of Health Care/Medical Devices laws as well as of digital /IT laws is a big plus.
