Global Supply Planning Analyst - 9 Months (f/m/d)

Job Purpose

The Global Supply Planning Analyst focuses on global Distribution & Requirement Planning, Inventory Management, and Order Chain Processing for a dedicated portfolio of Straumann Group’s oral care products and services. As part of the Global Supply Planning team, the Global Supply Planning Analyst is responsible and accountable for delivering competitive service levels, while meeting inventory targets, through agile and pragmatic prioritization depending on business needs and impact, through smart, exception-based planning and inventory management, through a meticulous execution of standardized planning tasks, and use of available tools and reports.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • The Global Supply Planning Analyst performs a broad range of operational tasks, that include, but are not limited to:
  • set up, maintain, monitor, and analyze master & transactional data, related to the centralized operational planning of finished goods, as such ensuring reliable and efficient material and document flows, to meet the expected service while optimizing inventory levels in Straumann Group’s global distribution network.
  • assess and release purchase orders (MRP job-based or manual) to suppliers worldwide, track and monitor resulting global make-to-stock/make-to-order replenishments in the global distribution network.
  • compile accurate procurement plans for internal & external Manufacturing, to support capacity reservation for consistent and continuous short to mid-term supply.
  • act as the single point of contact, and communicate effectively, to internal & external stakeholders, local and global, for the designated portfolio, regarding short-term product availability and management of events that impact regular supply.
  • translate demand plans, disaggregated to SKU@country level, into operational MRP-driven planning, while making optimal use of available planning parameters, tools, and system functionalities.
  • establish close collaboration and continuous exchange, both within, as well as beyond the E2E Supply Chain organization, with Regional and Global Demand Planning, Regional/Country Supply Chain & Customer Service, International Distribution, Warehousing, internal & external Manufacturing, Purchasing, Regulatory, Product Management, Dental Services Organizations, and regional/country Sales and Marketing.
  • support and contribute to operational excellence projects within the Global Supply Planning team to optimize a.o. planning parameters and processes, order chain flows, reports, and communication channels.
  • adhere to established processes, as documented for planning relevant tasks, activities, and procedures.
  • travel occasionally (up to 5%) to meet and collaborate with internal stakeholders, as per business needs.

Profile:

Education and expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • minimum 3 years of professional experience in an international Supply Chain role (Planning, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Logistics), ideally in a highly regulated industry such as Pharma, Medical Devices, Life Sciences, or Chemical.
  • fluent in English, any other language is an asset.
  • hands-on with Supply Chain related software and tools, proficient with SAP and MS Office applications.
  • working experience with SAP SD & MM modules, BI Reporting, Demand Driven MRP.
  • APICS (CPIM) certification is a plus.
