We are looking for experienced marketeers to join Roche’s exciting Global Marketing Community as a full time Global Marketing Leader to support our in-market brands or the global launches of our new therapies. The role embraces Roche’s transformation, applying the company’s new fluid working model. The Global Marketing Leader (GML) works in collaboration with the commercial strategy leads and is instrumental in ensuring excellence in marketing and commercialization of our pipeline and assets, across all the therapeutic areas. The GML is a strategic thought partner for all the roles involved in product development and commercialization, providing commercial leadership to ensure our solutions can benefit patients across geographiesand works in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders to enable impactful solutions which address the needs of patients across healthcare ecosystems.

The Global Marketing Leader is accountable overall for the implementation of a holistic global strategy for a product, defined by a cross-functional team in close collaboration with the commercial strategy leader - in this role the Global Marketing Leader will:

  • Lead the strategic marketing components required to achieve the desired outcomes in a disease area. Analyze market trends, understanding the customer and patients needs, contributing to plan and develop what is required by working cross-functionally with medical, access and key affiliates

  • Constantly monitor the portfolio of outcomes driven projects and deciding which ones to focus on, based on the expertise required, own capacity, opportunity to add value and learn

  • Champion global brand alignment by advising affiliates on strategy such as appropriate product positioning, branding, and messaging, integrated solutions and communications

  • Developed or early experience with the launch of Digital Health solutions that will improve patient outcomes. Experience with integrated multi-channel digital strategy as part of the larger strategic development of a product or brand

  • Ensure, together with medical and access functions, the effective understanding of the global integrated strategy and advise on consistent pull-through from affiliatesand also ensure a tight collaboration with the affiliate network, providing guidance and input and acting as catalyst for sharing best practices and learnings across the broader organization

The following experiences and abilities are critical for the Global Marketing Leaders to highly perform in Global Product Strategy:

  • Worked across multiple brands, disease areas and/or markets, with preference to disease areas where Roche has portfolioand also has a mix of affiliate and global work experience

  • Demonstrated experience in working-cross functionally and/or cross affiliates, and influencing without direct authority; extensive experience leading global projects to develop strategies, particularly across product portfolios; experience at leading global outcomes in a leadership position of particular relevance

  • Demonstrated experience at helping to shape and working within the new affiliate operating model of particular interestand demonstrated experience in defining and implementing an integrated multi-channel (traditional and emerging) communication platform an advantage

  • Demonstrated track record in communicating to and facilitating senior leaders in making strategic investment decisionsand also in strategic brand-building within the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to deliver on outcomes with great impact Experience translating science into clear, succinct, and differentiated marketing strategy with impact

  • Bachelor's Degree (marketing, business management or life sciences discipline is preferred). MBA or other relevant Graduate or Postgraduate Degree is preferred

  • Minimum 10-12 years in marketing/sales roles; demonstrated marketing capability and leadership. Ability to travel globally; Fluent written and verbal English
