Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals Division is looking for a

Financial Analyst

for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.

Primary Job Function:

An interesting role in which you will be primarily accountable for operating EPD’s divisional planning system (SAC) along with annual activities related to budget transfers, Master Data Management (Product and Geographic Hierarchy) and transfer pricing setting. He/she is in contact with the EPD country and area Finance counterparts as well as with other functional stakeholders in the Division ensuring clear and transparent communication.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and Maintain EPD planning systems by ensuring data integrity, creating ad-hoc templates, solving daily tickets, and escalating to technical support whenever appropriate).

• Perform month end activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations and support month end close activities.

• Drive divisional submission for transfer pricing setting process and support corporate Transfer Price and Corporate Margin group in troubleshooting activities.

• Coordinate annual budget transfers activities.

• Orchestrate Global Product and Geographic hierarchy planning for future year.

• Identify and drive process improvements, including creation and continuous improvement of standard reports and dashboards and drive key projects at divisional level.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent

• Master’s degree (or comparable degree) would be preferred

Minimum Experience/Training Required:

• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, general accounting and or financial reporting

• Experience working with SAC Planning tool (or equivalent) is required

• Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry would be an asset

• Experience in coordinating multiple relationship at the international level would be an asset

• Solid technical acumen. Affinity to work with various systems like Information/Planning systems (SAC), Data warehouses (COGNOS, Oracle Hyperion) and SAP

• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to details

• Winning mentality, “can-do” attitude, innovative, customer focus and cross-functional team player

• Result-driven, like hands-on work, pragmatic

• High Level of professionalism and integrity

• Critical thinking

• Knowledge of Financial Statements (P&L / Balance Sheet)

• Proficient Excel knowledge and good numerical reasoning

• Excellent command of English is mandatory, any other languages would be an asset

• Willingness to work in an international environment
