Associate, Partnerships - GL C - 2 years Defined Duration

The role of Associate, Partnerships involves providing support in developing and nurturing a diverse range of partnerships in the global health eco-system that play a crucial role in advancing the mission of the Global Fund. The person in this position will assist in developing partnership strategies, partnership agreement frameworks, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), engagement plans and monitoring mechanisms for key partnerships. They will also manage and support the necessary operational activities for executing these plans.

The Associate, Partnerships will track, analyze, and report progress on partnership initiatives to assess their effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and help internal stakeholders to enhance partnership outcomes. Additionally, they will act as a key liaison for partnership-related communication and engagement both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal teams to identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and develop joint initiatives that leverage the strengths of both parties.
  • Develops and support implementation of partnership strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives for a subset of partnerships,
  • Monitors and evaluates partnership performance, tracking key metrics and outcomes to assess impact and inform decision-making.
  • Provides regular updates and reports on partnership activities to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and facilitate internal processes, including but not limited to partnership visits, meetings, workshops, and events, providing logistical support and coordination as needed.
  • Supports Advisor, Partnerships in managing key relationships, including the set up and maintenance of partnership agreements
  • Prepares materials for presentations, reports, and other communication purposes, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Assists in drafting and editing documents, including proposals, briefs, agendas, and reports.
  • Supports the administration, internal controls, contract and resource management of partner funded workforce.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Undergraduate university degree in business administration, international relations, communications, or a related field

Desirable:

  • Post-graduate university degree in business administration, international relations, communications or a related field.

Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Global Public Health or international development
  • Demonstrated strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) skills with the ability to effectively communicate (orally and in written form) to a variety of audiences.
  • Evidence of strong project management experience, managing and delivering on timelines with tight deadlines and across disciplines.
  • Evidence of effective and successful stakeholder management at multiple levels within an organization.

Desirable:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience in partnerships, project management or related area
  • Proven track record in partnership building, development and implementation of partnership agreement frameworks, business development, external relations, and / or advocacy.
  • In-country experience of development and/or public health programs, preferably in LMICs/ countries with programs supported by The Global Fund

Competencies

Languages:

An excellent knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
