The UNICEF Global PCI DSS Project aims to ensure that UNICEF PSFR and other COs comply with PCI data security standards The Global Project provides the framework within which, globally and in each CO, UNICEF capacity will be built and improvements to systems and processes will be identified, achieved and maintained. Under the supervision of the Senior Advisor, Operations and Finance, the incumbent will provide project management support and report to the Global PCI DSS Project Manager and as required, manage the development and implementation of a number of country specific projects and project activities. Project management and support activities include, but are not limited to, project design and planning, coordinating with business and technical teams, risk mitigation, status reporting, communication project budget management, process and technical improvements and overseeing project implementation.

By the end of September 2024

  • 2 reports to the Global PCI Taskforce with the global update of the project including: update of the project workplan, risk management and communication plan.
  • Status reports of the CO under the scope of the PCI project: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, China, India, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, South Africa, LACRO Clusters.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

• Advanced university degree (Masters’s degree or higher) in Marketing, Innovation, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or equivalent is required.

• Alternatively, a first-level university degree in a relevant field combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

• Project Management Certification is desirable.

Experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, communications, negotiations, risk management and team management or other related fields is required, five of which should be in leading medium to large scale, multi-stakeholder projects with demonstrable results and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Experience managing projects related to PCI compliance.

• Experience with UN PSFR COs is a strong asset.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams is an asset.

Language:

• Fluency in English is required.

• Working knowledge of Spanish would be considered a valuable asset.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
