We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Coordinator Facilities and Construction position under the Services Department. The position will report to Manager Site and Operations and is based in Randjespark, Midrand (Gauteng).

We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Coordinator Facilities and Construction position under the Services Department. The position will report to Manager Site and Operations and is based in Randjespark, Midrand (Gauteng).

Be the single point of contact for the construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities across the different locations.

Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide constructionProvide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial facilitiesDay to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraintsEnsuring timely management of any unforeseen delaysRegular monitoring and liaison with the Contracts Manager/Project ManagerLiaise with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager to ensure adequate labour and sub-contract resource are available on sitePlan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purposeRequest all materials, oversee the deliveries, and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction Programme and procurement scheduleEffectively communicate with the Design Team to ensure the timely release of design information (HVAC and Building equipment)Supervise, manage and motivate all site team including effective management of sub-contractor activities on site ensuring they are engaged, on target in line with the master ProgrammeReport the compliance with the contractual obligations by the utilities / PSI suppliers and to manage the action plans and regular reports of the suppliers performanceDraft, draw Lay Out, and Specify Technical Devices, Parts, and Equipment -- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or usedPropose and implement solutions for costs optimization in relation to utilities and facilitiesEvaluate Information to Determine Compliance with Standards -- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standardsParticipate into the assessment and selection of suppliers for facility maintenance with adherence to Gibela procurement policiesSupervise the reception process for the suppliers that assure the interventions on utilities , buildings and equipmentManage and follow up the optimum functioning of equipment and buildings installations with the utilities and maintenance teamManage the update of data related to equipment in the informatics tools used internally (equipment database)Perform periodic training of subordinate workers, when necessarySupervise, follow-up performance, availability and quality and all major equipment and define KPI`sManage contractors and vendors relationships:Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being metEnsure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are metSupport Industrial Operations QCD objectivesUndertake other duties as specified by the Site & Operations ManagerCarry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policiesAdhere to Company procedures especially in relation to AZDP and Quality and Health & SafetyBachelor’s degree in Facilities Management will be an added advantageIT literate ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Ms project)English fluencyPrior experience in a supervisory positionKnowledge of maintenance systems, technical operations, and building codes and regulationsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyAt least 5 years’ experience in construction site management experience is preferableExperience in working and consulting with communitiesTeam Leadership, Customer & Quality focus, Methodical, Problem solving & Decision making, CommunicationExperience Building and Construction -- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of industrial buildings, Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, and specificationsCustomer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal servicesThis includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

To carry out technical support and maintenance on extra hours & on-call basis (weekends at times if required).
