Sites Network Communications
As part of Group Communications, the Sites Network Communications team is responsible for delivering communication strategies and measures that contribute to the positive perception of Roche and that of our sites amongst our current and future employees and the communities we operate in. Fostering integrated communications across Group Communications, our local expertise and network bridges between local needs and global priorities to maximise impact.

As Senior Communications Manager, Sites Network Switzerland you will be responsible for driving communications that help engage and inspire key internal and external stakeholders. As an expert in corporate communications you will act as key coach and advisor for internal stakeholders across the Sites Network Switzerland and proactively position the Roche Diagnostics Site in Rotkreuz with external audiences. Additionally, you will help to drive communications for the Sites Network contributing to foster engagement and collaboration across the Network and beyond.

You will develop and execute site specific and regional communication strategies that engage external and internal audiences as well as partner with the Group Communications community to deliver localised communications strategies. You develop site-specific employee communication/information, focusing on local topics and the adoption of global initiatives.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies, campaigns, and narratives to engage and align internal and external stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of key topics in Site Network Communications, in line with the vision and strategy of Group Communications and the Sites Network, to enhance the site's profile and reputation.

  • Provide strategic and tactical advice to the RDI General Manager and the Rotkreuz Site Leadership Team as a trusted business partner, identifying relevant topics and implementing communication initiatives across various channels.

  • Act as a member of the Local Emergency Team, managing crisis and issues communications at the local level.

  • Create and implement integrated communication concepts, collaborating with local and global cross-functional project teams to address internal and external communication needs.

You support change processes through effective change communication strategies targeted at executive and site management levels. You share expertise and serve as an information source for the team, offering guidance and mentorship to less experienced communication colleagues. You lead or participate in cross-site projects that promote network integration and strengthen the overall impact of the network.

Who you are

  • 7-10 years of experience in communications in a large / matrixed organisation, with a focus on external/executive and employee communications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field

  • Fluency in German and English (verbal and written)

  • Digital channel expertise including email marketing platforms, video, social media, Google platforms, digital signage

  • Track record of presenting to and coaching/influencing without authority senior executives/audiences and contributing to influencing their decision-making

  • Demonstrated ability in prioritising multiple projects; works well under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic communications in a fast paced environment, comfortable working in a matrixed and multicultural environment.

Furthermore, you have outstanding strategic agility: thorough grasp of the healthcare industry and regularly applies such to create robust and innovative strategies. You possess outstanding consulting skills: active listening skills, ability to extract and quickly process key information, summarise key needs or interests of internal customers, and provide targeted and appropriate coaching, insights and recommendations.
