Postdoc (80-100%) to develop an ontology and knowledge graph for a streamlined LCA procedure supporting researchers in evaluating novel atmospheric CO2 removal and conversion options

Materials science and technology are our passion. With our cutting-edge research, Empa's around 1,100 employees make essential contributions to the well-being of society for a future worth living. Empa is a research institution of the ETH Domain.
With its " Mining the Atmosphere " research initiative, Empa aims at exploring novel options to remove CO2 from the atmosphere and convert it into useful and valuable materials. Involved researchers will need support to carry out preliminary life cycle assessments (LCAs). In this context, our Technology and Society Laboratory (TSL) is looking for a highly motivated Postdoc to develop a streamlined, digitally-supported LCA procedure. TSL is dedicated to creating and transferring knowledge supporting the transformation to a sustainable society within planetary boundaries by analyzing and evaluating novel materials and technologies from a circularity, life cycle impacts and safety perspective, and providing guidance for designing more sustainable materials, technologies and systems.
