Industrialization and Manufacturing Engineer

Wingtra provides efficient and reliable data solutions to a variety of industries ranging from mining, construction and agriculture to humanitarian organizations, environmentalists and wildlife monitoring groups.


In this role you will take part in the industrialization of new drones and ensure that every product meets our high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Development of production tools, jigs and test benches. Become a go-to person for the production team and R&D.
  • Manage and prioritise the quality improvements projects in production to continuously optimise the serial production 
  • Define and implement quality control steps, production processes and manufacturing procedures
  • Technical management of external manufacturing partners: implementation of changes, optimization of the production and management of the quality. 
  • New product introduction (NPI): qualification of new parts, processes and suppliers
  • Manage the transfer of new or existing parts from engineering to production


Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in R&D and/or manufacturing
  • Experience with CAD (Solidworks a plus)
  • Experience with plastic parts manufacturing (3D printing, vacuum casting, injection molding, thermoforming, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent fluency in English
  • Honest, humble, and self-motivated


Plus
  • Practical experience in robotics, mechatronics or related field
  • Knowledge of manufacturing assembly, LEAN, value stream
  • Experience with PLM and ERP systems
  • Expertise in quality management
  • Experience in working closely with production operators, engineers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, geometrical measurements, mechanical parts testing and inspections
  • Leadership as project manager in a professional environment
