Your role

As a Student Support for 3 - 6 months within the Financial Market Regulations area at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are part of the Financial Market Infrastructure Competence Center and provide support for the daily regulatory transaction reporting. 

Your responsibilities

• You will support the team in performing the daily regulatory transaction reporting under Swiss and European market regulations
• The analysis and investigation of errors will be part of your daily activities. For an efficient issue solving process you will need to collaborate with colleagues across the Bank (Front Units, Trading, Legal and Compliance, Operations and IT)
• Assist the FMI team to improve the daily routines by keeping track of reoccurring issues and testing of new technical solutions

Your profile

• Completed commercial apprenticeship, preferably in a banking environment or currently student in the area of Finance, Business Administration or IT
• Professional experience in the banking or insurance sector is an advantage
• Trading and Product know how of Derivatives is essential, and interest in regulations i.e. EMIR/FMIA/SFTR
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independantly
• Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability
• Fluent in English
