We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Manager - Global Payment Solutions.


Principal Responsibilities


The Senior Sales Manager is required to achieve income for the Group by originating leads, building, and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, in order to identify and promote innovative cash management solutions to a few sectors of HSBC's Commercial Banking clients. The role holder will have responsibility for pricing, reviewing, and negotiating the full range of cash management services for a portfolio of clients within a few key focus sectors and ultimately responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to a portfolio.



  • Work in close partnership with commercial banking coverage and the wider Global Payments Solutions sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities, jointly formulate client engagement strategy to deepen the HSBC cash management wallet share in Singapore and regionally

  • Advise relationship management teams on updates of market trends, competitors landscape, new cash management solutions and regulatory changes to help respond to emerging customer needs and opportunities

  • Adopt a needs based advisory approach to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cash management solutions that meet those requirements

  • Act as the sales lead to effectively coordinate and collaborate with the HSBC team across markets and functions to develop appropriate solutions and deliver sales proposals

  • Work closely with the Global Payments Solutions Implementation, Integration, Product and Client Service teams to ensure smooth transition of client mandate into realised revenues, as well as to provide ongoing coverage in response to clients' evolving challenges and requirements

  • Maintain and enhance existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams by identifying and selling innovative GPS solutions, thus maximizing commercial profitability and relationship depth, and support the development and delivery of the strategic sales initiatives. Proactive management and growth of revolving sales pipeline to meet new business EBV (Estimated Business Value) goals and maintain comprehensive sales record in a timely manner to allow tracking of sales performance and sales quality

  • Be recognized as a cash management specialist with an ability to display competent knowledge of relevant products and services within the job holder’s area of responsibility

  • Maintain and enhance the image of HSBC through the planning and execution of conferences, industry sector workshops, internal and external client road shows and active participation in industry forums

  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
