Project Engineering Expert

Arxada is looking for a Project Engineering Manager based in Visp, Switzerland. In this role you will perform project management and process and/or project engineering work in Capital project environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Project management for Capital projects in pre-CAR and/or project execution phase
  • Responsible for reaching performance, schedule and cost goals for given assignments
  • Coaches and instructs project team members
  • Fosters engineering processes and standards for assigned areas of expertise and provides required trainings
  • Builds up and maintains a high level of knowledge and competence in one or more engineering areas
  • Actively supports the safety culture by applying the relevant safety policies and guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Takes leadership in critical phases of the project


Key Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical -or Mechanical Engineering - MS or PhD preferred
  • Business fluent in German
  • Advanced experience in CAPEX project planning and execution
  • Strong project management skills and agile problem solving skills
  • You are an independent, reliable and initiative organizational talent
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, keeping track of costs and schedule and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Sound understanding of the applied technology, especially of the different applied unit operations (e.g. distillation, crystallization, reaction technology) and the scientific concept behind it
  • Ability to effectively communicate via writing and oral communication at all levels to both internal and external customers
