Your responsibilities

You recently graduated in electrical engineering and are willing to gain hands-on experience in a multicultural environment? This junior Project Manager position might be your opportunity to join CERN's dynamic Electricity section within Site Asset Management group.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Establish or maintain application modules for the operational management of the electrical service in the fields of energy savings management, metering, statistics, technical specifications and equipment standardization.
• Participate in the definition of electrical technical proposals based on user requirements for construction projects, modifications and renovation work.
• Monitor and report on activities, schedules and costs.
• Carry out studies or design of renewable energy systems, including sizing and costing of proposed solutions.
• Develop technical specifications and all relevant documents to be used for quotations from external contractors.

Eligibility criteria:

• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Electricity, Electrical Engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
• Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
• Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

This position requires:

• Work in Radiation Areas.
• Interventions in underground installations.
• A valid driving licence.

• A monthly stipend ranging between 5134  and 5647 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
