For our Markets & Banking Operations Compliance team we are looking for a Zurich-based market conduct & trading advisory specialist, who will be responsible for being the primary contact for Markets employees and client facing employees in all trading-related Compliance topics (Foreign Exchange, Precious Metals, Structured Products, Securities, Fixed Income and Funds).

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Serve as the competence center for market conduct & trading advisory by being the primary contact for Markets employees and client facing employees 

  • Responsible for compliance inquiries relating to market conduct & trading as well as for inquiries from regulators and counterparties (such as banks, brokers, or venues)

  • Shape global minimum standards by drafting policies, guidelines and manuals, and defining and/or executing global minimum controls or monitoring activities

  • Proactively engage, partner, and effectively communicate within the organisation and with governing bodies to maintain and further strengthen the market conduct & trading framework

  • Cooperate with other subject matter experts within or outside the CRO division in the assessment of specific cases

  • Support business initiatives in the area of market conduct & trading and hold recurring business trainings to maintain a high level of risk awareness

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree or higher technical college degree in business administration or economics, law, business law or business informatics. Further training (e.g. postgraduate studies in compliance or risk management) is an advantage

  • Profound knowledge of local and European financial market regulations (e.g. EU MiFID (I and II), MAD/MAR, FinSA, FMIA)

  • Experience in Compliance in a bank would be an advantage, particularly in the area of trade compliance or related risk functions; In-depth banking knowledge and trading product knowledge

  • Good communication skills in conjunction with assertiveness, able to work on own initiative and being an excellent team player

  • Communicative, independent, resilient and assertive personality

  • Solution- and customer-oriented as well as careful and analytical way of working

  • Personal initiative, flexibility, diplomatic negotiation skills and a high sense of responsibility

  • Interest in the regulatory environment of a bank and bank-internal processes is required

  • Affinity for technology, very good IT skills

  • Project experience
