The position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and fast-learning person to manage our R&D laboratory. The position comprises about 70% experimental work (cell culture, transfection, qPCR, bioassays) and 30% lab management (organization and maintenance of the lab, placing orders, maintaining and controlling consumable stocks, SOP writing, product and instrument inventory).

Your profile:

The successful candidate should be an independent person with outstanding organizational skills and the ability to perform experimental work in the areas of cellular and molecular biology. Applicants should have a collaborative spirit, be used to autonomous working, and dedicated to performing research focusing on quality, rigor, and integrity.

• BTA/CTA/MTA/biology lab technician or BSc/MSc in life sciences.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experimental work experience in a research laboratory.
• Strong experience in cell culture, including cell stock maintenance and cell transfection protocols.
• Solid training in molecular biology, particularly in handling, extraction and analysis of RNA.
• Hands-on experience in design, validation and implementation of bioassays.
• Experience with preparation and characterization of nanoparticles is highly desirable.
• Experience in fluorescence/confocal microscopy and flow cytometry is not essential but will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of peptide chemistry and biology would be an asset.
• Open, team-oriented and communicative personality.
• Fluent in English and preferably also in one additional language, preferably German.
• Relevant working/residency permit.
