Commercial Insurance IT seeks a leader for projects and strategic initiatives with strong communication and leadership skills to lead and shape various projects and strategic initiatives. Delivering both key IT solutions to our business colleagues as well as operational improvements and execution excellence to our own organization, this position combines strategic thinking with transformational competences.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, independent but also a team player. Strategic thinking in an IT context combined with outstanding communication skills, both verbally and in writing, will be of essence. You will also need to build strong business acumen to ensure all efforts create optimal business value.
What you will do

Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.

Develop strategies and concepts outside the norm to find creative solutions.

Closely collaborate with the CI IT Leadership team members in Zurich.

Build close relationships with local business and IT stakeholders, establish productive collaborations.

Communicate the results of your work to senior stakeholders; seek buy-in and approval.

Take full ownership for your deliverables to arrive on time and within budget; resolve or escalate any issues.

Develop and implement operational excellence and project management methodologies and best practices; establish KPIs to measure the performance of CI-IT.
What you bring
-
University degree in business, engineering, Computer Science, etc.

A passion for technology and a feel for how it brings value to insurance companies.

At least three years of experience in consulting, project leadership, operational excellence, as chief of staff to an executive or comparable roles – ideally within the insurance industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Written communication, PowerPoint presentations).

Good understanding of IT operations and IT delivery processes incl. agile methods.

Knowledge of business to IT collaboration incl. project management, portfolio management and investment prioritization methodologies.

Growth and results-oriented, innovative team player with strong formal and informal leadership skills.

Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to always communicate in line with the target level, also with senior management.

Working proficiency in English, German is an asset.
