We are looking for a proven leader with focus on sales support, project management and with the ability to lever customer relationships to next level. You are assigned to one of our global key customer areas as e.g. East Asia, India or Americas. In this area you are responsible from the first contact of a customer/agent for an inquiry all through to equipment delivery and cash-in. You foster polymer markets for business opportunities in your target area.
As a key account manager you travel from time to time to local customers in your target market in order to support global sales staff and activities with your compelling understanding of pump design and gear pump applications.
Your thrilling Job Opportunity
- Prepare quotations and process orders for all customers in your assigned area of responsibility
- Impact customer’s buy-decisions with your profound understanding of pump technology and of manufacturing business processes of MAAG customers
- Travel from time to time (approx. 10-20%) to visit customers on-site and headquarters
- You are the leader of your projects: check and control costs, pricing, progress, milestones, delivery dates. Further you sort out contractual deviations and challenges in offer as well as in order execution phase, report monthly commercial project results and business developments and you propose corrective measures
- Work in close cooperation with MAAG various internal departments and key suppliers
- Key words: Kick-off-, project meetings, customer inspections, rolling margin and post cost calculations, terms and conditions, etc.
Your Profile
- Higher degree in mechanical or chemical engineering; business administration degree is a plus
- Affinity to manage commercial topics for multimillion order values, negotiation skills
- Several years of experience in sales as well as in back-office activities preferably for petrochemical and polymer producing customers
- Proven record in business development outside of Europe, in the polymer producing chemical industry
- Fluent English (verbal, in writing), eager to learn German language, Gujarati or other Indian language skills are a plus
