About Us: The Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI) is a new Swiss registered Foundation committed to build robust strategic partnerships among like-minded countries to promote and actively drive sustainable and collaborative change for Global Health Equity and the Right to Health. It also amplifies and facilitates the inclusion of the priorities and voices of the Global South within the Global Health Architecture and negotiations based in Geneva. Born from the urgent need to rectify the global health inequities exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and other health crises, CeHDI aims to foster dialogue for global health equity, the right to health and to protect our gains in global health.
Your Role: As the Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, long term communication strategy for CeHDI to strengthen our position as a key global thought leader in the global health space. This role requires a robust understanding of global health issues, strong communication and coordination skills, and the ability to proactively engage with mainstream and digital media. This role is critical in increasing our visibility, growing our audience and ensuring that our message resonates with key stakeholders, including policymakers, diplomats and political leaders. The Senior Communications Manager will work collaboratively with all teams and critical partners to develop and communicate a compelling agenda that impact global health equity, the right to health, protecting our gains in global health and advance south to south and south to north partnerships.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage a holistic communications strategy that aligns with the Foundation’s goals.
- Plan, schedule, and manage content projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met efficiently.
- Set and monitor KPIs to measure success across the web, social media, and other platforms.
- Continuously refine the foundation’s messaging, mission, and values to strengthen brand identity and impact.
- Manage the development of high-quality newsletters and other media to effectively communicate with stakeholders and the target audience.
- Oversee the maintenance and continued development of the website, including the application of SEO and UX best practices to optimize organic traffic and enhance brand visibility.
- Research, write, edit, and curate engaging digital and multimedia content to connect with the target audience.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and reach, leveraging innovative storytelling formats like data visualizations.
- Write and share social media posts, and analyse their impact to inform strategies.
- Develop and manage multi-channel campaigns.
- Manage the Foundation’s media relations and maintain a database of relevant journalists and influencers.
- Write and prepare press releases and other PR materials as needed.
- Create, facilitate and support mainstream media engagement for the CEO and monitor impact and improvements.
- Conduct regular online research, monitor major events, scientific outcomes, and other sources of information relevant to the mission of the Foundation, and amplify through social media platforms.
- Coordinate with external service providers (web developers, graphic designers, IT, video producers) to ensure deliverables meet project goals and quality standards.
Required Qualifications: We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude with ten or more years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and educational background:
Experience and skills
- Excellent command of English, with strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into engaging content. Proficiency in French is an asset.
- Excellent copywriting skills, with a proven ability to create compelling and persuasive content tailored to different audiences.
- Experience and proven ability in growing LinkedIn and other online media pages through data driven decision making and storytelling, with knowledge of strategies to increase followers and engagement on the platform.
- Strong understanding and familiarity with social media platforms, website management, SEO, analytics, digital tools, and managing social media accounts.
- Ability to create compelling, audience-specific content that drives engagement.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- A commitment to amplifying the Global South voices in global health architecture.
- Public health experience is an asset.
Education
- Masters level university degree in communication, marketing or relevant field.
