In this role, you will contribute to the design, execution, and optimization of radiation test campaigns at the CHARM and CC60 facilities, ensuring accurate reliable qualification of electronics for the CERN accelerator complex.
Specifically, you will:
- Be responsible for designing and operating test setups in harsh radiation environments.
- Develop and test electronics for measurement and device qualification
- Conduct and supervise irradiation campaigns with accurate dosimetry monitoring.
- Use instruments covering DC to RF and Python for data handling and reporting.
- Work with long cable runs, high voltage, high current, high frequency, and fast digital electronics.
- Support other users through all test phases, from setup to data analysis in CERN facilities
Your profile
Skills:
- Experience with Electronic circuit design (analog and digital);
- Knowledge of High-speed digital and RF signal handling;
- Experience with high voltage and high current systems;
- Knowledge of radiation effects and radiation testing of electronics;
- Knowledge of dosimetry and radiation monitoring techniques;
- Test setup development in complex environments;
- Use of electronic measurement instruments (DC to RF);
- Experience with Technical reporting and documentation;
- Experience with Python programming for data analysis and automation would be an advantage;

About us
At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern.
