WinGD is looking for a
Technical Expert Mechatronics Remote Monitoring 1
Responsibilities
- Contact point for the WinGD Remote Monitoring System (WiDE)
- Responsible for Operational tasks related to the WiDE platform: remote support, WiDE technical improvement and corrections, installation guidelines, etc.
- Root Cause analysis of mechanical or automation-related failures
- Support the Experts team with incoming inquiries from vessels and engines in operation
- Participation in testing and commissioning support of engines and products, followed by a structured reporting to stakeholders
- Preparation and updating product documentation (commissioning instructions, engine manuals, training materials) when required.
- Direct and remote technical support for troubleshooting on engines in service, technical support to the warranty department
- Working with multicultural teams across the world
Requirements
- Minimum BSc degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- Willing to travel, also at short notice and to work on-board Vessels, accepting temporary inconveniences of working environment
- Expert level knowledge of internal combustion reciprocating engines, preferably low speed 2-stroke marine engines (diesel and dual fuel)
- Additional knowledge of engine automation systems and electronics is a must
- Systematic, analytic and technical mind, experienced in practical problem solving
- Fluent in English, any other foreign language is an advantage
