Based in Zurich, the Head of BU Marketing serves as the strategic marketing partner for a defined SIX Business Unit, translating its objectives and growth priorities into a customer‑centric marketing strategy and overseeing effective execution across campaigns, content, digital channels, and events. Operating at the intersection of the Business Unit, Group Marketing, and centralized shared services, the role ensures that marketing initiatives generate measurable impact on demand generation, pipeline development, and customer engagement.
The position leads marketing for the Banking Services Business Unit, which develops and operates Switzerland’s core payment infrastructure—including billing and payment solutions, debit and ATM services, and platforms such as eBill, bLink, and Terravis—while also supporting the rollout of anti‑fraud measures across all payment channels. Additionally, the role provides full leadership for the BU Marketing team, including product marketing managers, with responsibility for capability development, performance management, and consistent collaboration across the BU and Group Marketing.
What You Will Do
- Develop and own the BU-specific marketing strategy with BU leadership, serving as a strategic partner on market insights, customer needs, competitive analysis, and go to market and positioning topics.
- Strengthen the BU’s customer understanding to ensure insights directly inform GTM and campaign execution.
- Define, track, and optimize BU specific marketing KPIs that demonstrate tangible business impact (e.g., demand generation, pipeline contribution, product adoption, engagement).
- Translate BU priorities into clear, insight‑driven briefs that enable internal and external partners to deliver high‑quality, timely, and business‑aligned marketing support.
- Ensure consistent, high quality execution of marketing campaigns across all relevant channels and touchpoints.
- Own the BU marketing budget, including investment prioritization and ongoing performance optimization.
What You Bring
- Several years of experience in strategic marketing, ideally in a B2B, banking, technology, or infrastructure environment.
- Strong understanding of customer centric strategy development and complex value propositions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in building, managing, and developing high performing teams.
- Experience leading marketing initiatives and working with centralized teams, agencies, or centers of excellence.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in KPI definition, performance tracking, and data driven decision making.
- Proven analytical and data driven mindset, with experience in defining growth KPIs, performance tracking, and translating insights into action.
- Excellent written and spoken English and German is a must.
