At cereneo rehabilitation clinics, we create individualized treatment programs aimed at restoring the highest level of independence and enhancing our patients' quality of life.
We are currently seeking a speech and language therapist for our international projects, who is passionate about working in this field. You will begin your journey in Switzerland with training and become part of an interdisciplinary team. After a training period of 6 to 12 months, you will define your path to stay in Switzerland, move to Dubai, or take on international assignments worldwide.
Responsibilities
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute your expertise to our rehabilitation practices. Your role will involve assisting clients in their recovery through personalized therapy concepts. This requires being open-minded and responsive to the diverse needs of clients while working collaboratively in an international setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Professional diagnosis and therapy of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in neurological patients, particularly those with tracheostomy tubes
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of individual therapy plans to improve swallowing function, as well as speech and language abilities
- Implementation of decannulation measures in close collaboration with doctors, nursing staff, and movement therapists (Physical and Occupational)
- Guidance and counseling of patients, relatives, and nursing staff regarding the management of tracheostomy tubes
- Documentation and evaluation of therapy progress according to clinical standards
What you should bring?
- Completed degree in Speech Therapy (with recognition from the Swiss Federal Department of Education or willingness to obtain this)
- Certified further training in tracheostomy tube management
- Experience in rehabilitative therapy for dysphagia, and tracheostomy tube management
- Enjoyment of independent, patient-centered work in an interdisciplinary team
- Willingness to work in different countries and adapt to new cultural contexts
- Experience with direct flexible laryngoscope is a plus
- Fluent English language skills; fluency in Arabic is a plus
