Job Description
EFG’s Head of Financial Institution is responsible to actively maintain, manage and expand our relationships with external service providers to and partners of EFG entities in the areas of custody, correspondent banking and clearing globally.
The candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, is well positioned to navigate the competitive landscape and curious about developments while disciplined in ensuring EFG’s ambitions can continue to be met.
Main Responsibilities
- Preserve our good standing with providers
- Regularly review, assess and monitor our network in line with internal and regulatory standards
- Pro-actively address developments as well as issues arising
- Keep a perspective on risk managing our network
- Negotiates terms & conditions with the aim to secure a competitive offering
- Regularly and transparently communicate with our partners on key aspect such as business development, compliance aspects as well as regulatory trends
- Follow technological advancements in the space, ensuring competitiveness not only economically
- Coordinates relationship to Thomas Murray as service provider
- Acts as senior escalation point on any issue involving 3rd-party financial institutions
- Management of the Financial Institutions Team as primus inter pares
- Represent EFG beyond being the door of entry
- Internal stakeholder management with a focus on EFG’s Operations teams as main service user
- Contributes to the various projects involving relationship with 3rd-party financial institutions
Skills and experience
- 10 years experience in a comparable position
- Strong managerial skills
- Strong situational communication and networking skills in English, French and other commonly used languages
- Diplomatic attitude
- Disciplined regarding regulatory, legal and internal rules & regulations
- Good understanding of the financial market infrastructure
- Flexible thinking and reliable in nature.
