Job Summary
The (Senior) Specialist TV is responsible for leading the planning, buying, and execution of television advertising campaigns, ensuring they deliver strong results, maximize audience engagement, and achieve cost efficiency. This role combines strategic media planning with hands-on buying expertise, requiring deep knowledge of TV markets, vendor negotiations, and audience insights. The (Senior) TV Specialist collaborates closely with clients, planners, buyers, and vendors, driving campaigns across linear TV. As a senior role, the individual will also mentor junior team members, provide strategic counsel to clients, and help shape best practices within the team.
Here are some of the exciting tasks awaiting you:
Media Strategy & Buying

Develop and lead comprehensive TV media plans that align with client objectives and audience insights.

Lead the buying of TV ad spots, securing optimal pricing, placement, and inventory across networks and platforms.

Ensure seamless integration of planning and buying functions, maximizing both campaign reach and ROI.

Provide strategic recommendations on budget allocation and media distribution across linear, cable, and streaming channels.
Campaign Execution & Optimization

Oversee the end-to-end execution of TV advertising campaigns, from planning and booking to airtime delivery.

Monitor campaign performance in real-time, making data-driven optimizations to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with client expectations.
Audience Analysis & Research

Conduct in-depth analysis of target audience demographics, behaviors, and media consumption using advanced tools (Instar, Kantar, EvoAd, Leading Media, etc.).

Translate audience insights into actionable strategies for campaign planning and buying.

Stay ahead of media trends, market shifts, and competitor activity, with a strong focus on innovations in OTT and streaming.
Performance Analysis & Reporting

Deliver regular and post-campaign reports, including insights, learnings, and recommendations for future campaigns.

Present performance updates to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting both successes and opportunities for optimization.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors, TV networks, and key partners.

Lead negotiations to secure the best possible value and placements for clients.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting media strategies, campaign updates, and recommendations.
Budget & Financial Management

Take full ownership of campaign budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial accuracy.

Reconcile final costs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
Team Leadership & Mentorship

Mentor junior planners and buyers, providing guidance on both strategic planning and tactical buying.

Contribute to team training, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
A mix of the following is the person we are looking for:
-
Ideally, you bring 4-5 years of experience in TV media planning and buying or you are at a senior or lead level - but we are also open to candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong potential and motivation.

Proven expertise in both strategic planning and hands-on buying within TV.

Strong analytical skills in Instar, Kantar, Leading Media, EvoAd, and Microsoft Office.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management experience.

Fluent in English or German (both is a plus).

Organized, independent, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex campaigns.

Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
