The role…
In this role, you will take the lead in shaping a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with both legal requirements and global EHS standards at our Rapperswil site. With your excellent organizational and communication skills, your attention to details, and a hands-on mindset, you will drive sustainable environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the organization and serve as a trusted partner to both management and employees.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Develop a positive safety culture and safety risk assessments of all workstations • Create and execute an EHS plan/roadmap for the workplace according to legal guidelines, and Weidmann global standards
- Develop and implement an environmental management plan in accordance with the Weidmann sustainability manager
- Develop trainings on EHS matters and cascade into the local management team, and to all employees
- Perform and coordinate ISO 45001 audits and internal safety audits
- Be responsible for EHS – reporting and support the management team for sustainable improvement actions
- Ensure that all hazards, near misses and accidents are professionally investigated and that the preventive actions are implemented sustainably
- Active participation in the EHS global working group
What do you bring…
- Rlevant Swiss safety certificate (“SUVA-Sepzialistin/Spezialist ASGS” or “Expertin/Experte ASGS”)
- Proven experience as safety manager; deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Valid qualification in occupational health and safety as well as in Project Management
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies globally
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Fluent English and German skills written and oral, every other language is an advantage
