The overarching goal is to simplify communication and allow our key resources to focus together on problem-solving whilst considering automation. For that we are seeking an operations professional to bring passion and structure to build the foundations of a new company branch.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting portfolio managers and execution traders. Your duties include trade capture, reconciliation, resolution of position and trade-related queries, ad-hoc reporting, settlement, compressions, collapses, and corporate actions.
- Managing all related layers of complexity involved in daily positions and cash reconciliation.
- Ensuring consistency of information in OMS to ensure the reliability of mark-to-market PnL.
You will also be interfacing with:
- The technology team, to improve workflow and reporting automation, as well as to increase scalability.
- Our compliance team, particularly with the maintenance of automated order filtering and management of exceptions.
- Treasury activity (collateral and cash-equivalent management), to always allow portfolio managers and executing traders to operate safely.
- Pricing and valuation review flow, focusing on easing communication through common data standards and understanding.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven hands-on experience of at least five years in an operations team with significant flow that includes automated trading
- Personal hands-on experience of at least three years in the following operations procedures for futures and IRS (in each): Handling trade capture (i.e., bookings) and booking amendments in a well-known OMS
- Performing trade settlement, as well as position and PnL reconciliations
- Conducting standard line-item management for IRS, such as unwinds and collapses
- A very good understanding of futures and IRS, including associated operations workflows
- Strong, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills in English
- The role will require shift work for the first twelve months to help establish and cover operations in the European and US markets.
Preferred experience:
- Proven hands-on experience in CDS/CDX, FX forwards, and cash equities, especially in credit-related workflows (such as blended-coupon compressions for CDX)
- Experience in collateral management (margin and cash)
- Experience with corporate actions in cash equities
- Proficiency in German
