As the Strategic Assistant to the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), you'll work closely with top leadership in an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking environment. Your role will be pivotal in shaping and implementing the CRO's vision, helping to drive group-wide risk initiatives across both local and international markets. Your responsibility
- Serve as a sparring and thought partner to the Group CRO, providing crucial support on strategic and entrepreneurial matters
- Support the implementation of the CRO's strategic agenda, translating group-wide risk initiatives into actionable plans at the local level
- Oversee and coordinate group-wide transformation programs in the risk area, and act as PMO for strategic initiatives spanning multiple business units
- Manage budgets, headcount, and resource allocation for the CRO function, ensuring seamless collaboration with HR and Finance
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels, tailoring messages for maximum impact
- Craft insightful decision-making materials for executive management and contribute to the success of key Helvetia decision bodies
- Document complex topics and drive follow-up actions from senior leadership meetings
- Prepare compelling content for Group Risk Committee meetings, Board reports, and cross-functional steering committees
- Navigate multinational coordination, balancing regulatory requirements with cultural nuances
Your qualification
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, mathematics, or a related field
- Robust experience in providing strategic business support in a global corporation
- Strong knowledge of the insurance sector, with a focus on risk management and cross-functional collaboration
- High integrity, loyalty, and a proactive mindset, complemented by top-tier analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
- Clear, confident communication skills, and the ability to present complex ideas to C-level stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional fluency in German and English-both written and spoken-with additional languages seen as a strong asset
