For the Finance Department, we are looking for a motivated professional for overall controlling and planning company's affiliate in Bern costs - for OPEX, Cost of Goods Sold and Capex.

At Bavarian Nordic Berna, the Swiss affiliate there are - beside manufacturing activities - professionals in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain and Regulatory affairs working. On the Swiss site in Thörishaus / Bern there are +240 dedicated and committed professionals working locally and globally.
For the Finance Department, we are looking for a motivated professional for overall controlling and planning company's affiliate in Bern costs - for OPEX, Cost of Goods Sold and Capex.
To fill this important position, we are looking for a
Plant Controller 100% (f/m/d)
The main tasks are:
- Review actual production vs planned, perform necessary month-end closing transaction in SAP for cost allocation and for fixed assets capitalization/depreciation. Identify and follow-up on variances. Issue report with insights vs the factory KPIs.
- Follow-up on changes and post journal entries on expired and obsolete materials (incl. comparison vs budget )
- Full scope of actuals Inventory reporting, identifying and posting adjustments/provisions where needed.
- Analysis on inventory lead times, verification vs production plan.
- New launches support: COGS creation in SAP and update/follow-up as per GMP process
- Budget, monthly: review, report and follow-up on variances vs actuals, issue commenting, prepare pro-con list for next budget cycle. Follow up on actual purchase orders placed, invoices posted
- Bill of materials / recipes reviews as per GMP, track and control updates in SAP/Veeva/excel models
Qualification and Experience:
- 3-5 years of Finance experience, with strong results
- Strong overview without losing sight of relevant details
- Solid oral and written competencies; solid results from producing well-written and well-reputed reporting.
- Ability to produce high work volume with good quality and within a tight deadline
- Strong IT-skills, Excel proficiency, SAP Finance and Controlling knowledge, BI-tools etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mind-set; competencies in building, sustaining and influencing relations
- Analytical capacity; innovative and result driven individual able to handle complex matters
- Proactive, change-ready, and result-driven which carries out in a systematic and structured work behavior; able to adapt, prioritize and keep focus
