We are currently seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Lawyer to work with various Axiom clients across the financial services sector.

Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues across a broad range of areas to ensure policies and procedures align with applicable laws and regulations.
- Implementing legal and regulatory change projects, including the development of template agreements and negotiation guidelines.
- Advising on regulations which may include MiFID II, FinSA, FinIA, AML, DLT, CRR, MAR, ESG regulations, etc. depending on the client and project.
- Drafting and maintaining internal policies to ensure firm compliance and for implementation of regulatory changes.
- Assisting the business team in the establishment of new product offerings and setting out the regulatory and legal framework, for example regarding the distribution of structured products and alternative investments.
- Cooperation with supervisory authorities and internal stakeholders such as Compliance and Risk Management, including preparing and reviewing regulatory filings and disclosures.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 10 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in an in-house environment (directly, or as a law firm secondee), including experience within a bank or financial services institution.
- Openness to part-time or full-time roles.
- Strong academic credentials and post-qualification experience.
- Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
- Right to work in Switzerland and eligibility to practice as a lawyer in Switzerland.
- Business proficient English, with additional fluency in German being highly desirable.
