For one of our clients – a leading Swiss high-technology company in the Defense sector – we are looking for a motivated and skilled Technical Product Manager. The company is known for its engineering excellence, innovative spirit, and reliable solutions in safety-critical environments. You will be part of a dynamic, multicultural team and contribute to groundbreaking technology projects in the defense domain.
Technical Product Manager [Defence]
Your tasks
- Own and manage the full product lifecycle for military field devices
- Define and maintain the product roadmap in line with business and customer needs
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize customer requirements to develop effective solutions
- Initiate and lead new product developments and enhancements
- Prepare and present compelling business cases to senior management
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Service teams
- Take an active role in development projects as Product Owner
- Conduct product training for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and customer meetings
- Ensure high-quality, up-to-date product documentation
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies
Your profile
- BSc or MSc degree in Physics, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field – ideally with an optical and/or software background
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management or business development
- Solid understanding of high-tech or defence-related markets, technologies, and applications (military background is a plus)
- Project management experience with a structured and goal-oriented approach
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
- Strong communication skills with excellent intercultural and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with a solid understanding of complex technical systems
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
