Your team
The Real Estate & Logistics & Physical Security division provides a wide range of services to the Group’s clients. It manages the buildings at the Group’s headquarters in Geneva and its subsidiaries, branches and offices in Switzerland and abroad.
The Client Hospitality department of the division is responsible for event logistics within the Pictet Group and seeking to hire a:
Head of Events
Your role
Mission:
As head of a team of Event Managers working in partnership with the Group’s various Marketing managers, you will coordinate all the logistical aspects of the corporate and business events organised by the Bank. You will be the main point of contact for internal clients, ensuring that events are planned and executed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting event services to the Group’s business lines.
- Supervising and developing the current team of event managers.
- Work closely with the Group’s marketing managers to understand their needs and design customised offers and solutions for events.
- Setting up a catalogue of in-house services (meetings, meals, cocktails, training, etc.) and external services (hotels, restaurants, reception venues, catering) that have been negotiated with partners and are suitable for the type of event required.
- Defining the governance framework and policies on using the new facilities at the Pictet Campus de Rochemont and then promoting them to the Bank’s internal departments.
- Launching the opening of our Business Centre and later running it. This will include semi-public modular work and reception areas with a capacity of 450 people and a 450-seat auditorium.
- Keeping abreast of the latest innovations in event organisation and making suggestions.
- Drawing up and keeping to the department’s budget.
Your profile
- Advanced training in Marketing/Communications or Hospitality.
- At least 8 to 10 years’ experience in an events management role in the luxury sector.
- Experience in opening an event venue and managing projects would be a big plus.
- Discretion, interpersonal skills and diplomacy, ability to build solid partnerships.
- Keen sense of persuasion and communication.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with the unexpected.
- Ability to take decisions and unite a team.
- Excellent command of French and English,
- Must be resident in Switzerland.
