The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced operations leader to join our team at Hitachi Energy as Head of Grid Components Europe. You will lead the Operations function for Grid Components at Hub level, with full accountability for multiple factory Operations, exceeding customer expectations through lean, flawless operational execution (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cash), in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost.
This position can be fulfilled within Europe near Hitachi Energy Locations. We are prioritizing skills and experience over physical work location.

Oversee financial and risk performance, delivering on budgets, managing capacity and ensuring governance and operational resilience
Your background
-
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing); an MBA or relevant Master’s is highly desirable

12+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles

Proven expertise in leading teams, driving change and building high-performance organizations

Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, including certifications and implementation success

Background in Process Engineering or Quality Management is advantageous

Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and operational compliance best practices

Skilled in SAP and confident in presenting complex topics to senior stakeholders

Experience in electrical products manufacturing and managing transformation through change initiatives
