Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to help define the next generation of wireless SoCs that will power smart homes, cities, utilities, buildings, and asset management solutions around the world.
In this role, you will lead product definition activities, translating customer needs and market trends into forward-looking product specifications that guide our R&D efforts. Working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, applications, and design teams, you will be a key driver in transforming bold concepts into real-world products.
This position is ideally based near our Neuchâtel (Switzerland) or Meylan (France) offices, though candidates based in North America will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Next-Generation SoC Definition: Lead the specification of innovative wireless System-on-Chip products, including requirements for CPU, memory, power architecture, embedded security, and development tools. (20%)
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Perform strategic benchmarking and market analysis to guide roadmap planning and positioning. (20%)
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal experts across RF, firmware, protocol stacks, applications, and program management to refine concepts and ensure feasibility.
- Customer & Ecosystem Engagement: Actively gather Voice of the Customer from global sales, FAEs, and key partners to shape product features.
- Customer-Facing Evangelism: Build compelling collateral to support customer proposals and guide high-impact engagements from early discussions through to revenue generation. (20%)
- Strategic Relationships: Maintain and grow relationships with lead customers and ecosystem players to ensure early alignment and feedback. (20%)
- Industry Awareness: Stay ahead of market and technology trends in low-power wireless communication, MCU architecture, and embedded systems. (10%)
- Travel: Participate in customer visits and industry events to support product definition and business development efforts. (10–25%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 7–10+ years of experience with wireless SoC or embedded low-power systems
- Strong background in wireless communication protocols and low-power embedded design
- Proven experience in MCU architecture, including toolchain and enablement development
- Solid understanding of end-device cyber-security concepts and global security standards
- Demonstrated ability to interpret customer requirements and align them with technical solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Bluetooth LE, Thread, Z-Wave, or Matter protocols
- Experience with one or more Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Engagement in recognized developer or open-source communities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Enjoys customer-facing interaction and is comfortable with international travel
- Effective collaborator in geographically distributed teams
