Reporting to the Head of Pet Food, the focus of this role is flavors, natural colors, and functional ingredients catering to manufacturers globally. The geographic scope will be the European region.
You will provide a single point of ownership and set the direction for the Pet Food category in collaboration with business partners and help to execute our strategy and plans including the route to market, innovation, regulatory, marketing, operations, M&A and communication streams.
- Strategy:
Proactively generate a broad base of new business opportunities and define route to markets
Develop comprehensive ADPs for key accounts
Develop thorough understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition
Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans
Lead negotiation of pricing agreements in accordance with company guidelines and business stakeholders
Deliver budgeted sales and gross profit results within local sales territory
- Influence:
Ensure Givaudan is well positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core lists
Manage large commercial projects in collaboration with relevant technical resources
Ensure visibility and exposure for Givaudan at account by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with key product demonstrations and technical to technical interface
Defend base business in key markets and with key customers
- Partner:
Drive innovative projects with customer utilizing technical resources from one or more categories
Negotiate agreements with customer context of global account strategy/ADP
Follow up on customer submissions and manage wins through to production and launch
Collaborate on projects with various teams, and work cross BU and Functions
You?
- University degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology. Business education is a plus.
- Expert in the Pet Food market dynamics and product requirements.
- 10+ years of successful track record the pet food industry in technical and commercial roles
- Market Analysis: Experienced in using tools to analyze market trends and consumer behavior.
- Product Development: Knowledgeable about pet food formulation and industry regulations.
- Financial Skills: Able to analyze financial reports and creating business cases for new products.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with pet food labeling and safety regulations.
