Join the IP Management and KT Policies (IP) Section of the Knowledge Transfer (KT) Group! As a Legal Adviser, you'll be involved in all of the various activities of the IP Section.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting and reviewing a variety of agreements related to CERN's knowledge transfer activities, such as license agreements and R&D agreements with other scientific institutes, start-ups and industry.
Providing legal assistance on intellectual property related matters to CERN personnel and the various CERN units.
Addressing policy matters related to intellectual property and knowledge transfer.
Your profile
Skills:
Experience with intellectual property law (e.g. copyright, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, etc.), new technologies and licensing acquired in a law firm, industry or scientific institutes with international exposure.
Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law or New Technology Law.
A bar exam admission is considered an asset.
Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
You have a professional background in Law (or a related field) and have either:
a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
