On behalf of our client, an internationally operating Swiss life sciences company that develops and manufactures active ingredients and biotechnological solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare companies, we are recruiting a Senior Process Expert Logistics (m/f/d).
This permanent position is responsible for leading and continuously improving GMP-compliant logistics operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving cross-functional initiatives, supporting quality systems, and developing team capabilities.
Description
The Senior Process Expert Logistics (m/f/d) provides functional leadership in the Logistics Department by defining and optimizing processes and systems to ensure compliant, efficient operations, while driving cross-team collaboration, by carrying out the following task area:
- Leads the implementation and ongoing improvement of logistics and supply chain activities related to goods receiving, sampling, storage, and distribution in a GMP-regulated environment
- Creates, updates, and maintains logistics SOPs in line with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leads local and cross-functional projects from initial planning through execution to successful completion
- Represents the logistics function during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and client visits or presentations
- Supports deviation and change control processes by serving as second-level owner for deviation investigations and helping to define and implement CAPAs in TrackWise in a timely manner
- Develops and delivers training programs, including on-the-job training, to support high performance and continuous improvement within the team
Profile
In order to be considered for the role, the ideal candidate should have:
- Successfully completed bachelor's and/or master's degree in supply chain management or a comparable discipline
- At least 5 -7 years of hands-on experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech logistics, with end-to-end responsibility for inbound handling, sampling, warehousing, and distribution activities
- Strong project management expertise, with a proven ability to structure complex issues and translate them into pragmatic, executable solutions
- Advanced proficiency in SAP MM and SAP EWM, with a solid focus on inbound processes, warehouse management integration, picking, and shipment execution
- Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
- Proven ability to design and optimize logistics processes, supported by strong analytical and strategic thinking and clear process documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels
