Position Summary
As a "Market & Consumer Insights Specialist" , you will drive the market's agenda by leveraging consumer and category data and insights to ensure successful brand building, product performance, and the achievement of objectives. By assisting 'generating demand' teams in answering key business questions, you will provide outstanding market analyses and trends. Your expertise will encompass insights through ad hoc research, data visualization, and relevant recommendations that are instrumental in delivering superior understanding of the market, category, consumer, shopper, and brand.
A Day in the Life of a Market & Consumer Insights Specialist
- Gather and process data to deliver monthly business reports using Nielsen RMS/CPS and GfK panel data.
- Support management with data requests and regular market share/performance analysis updates.
- Share and align recommendations with Nestlé in the Market teams.
- Translate data from multiple sources into actionable business insights for the teams.
- Build product expertise and monitor the competitive environment and brand health/performance.
- Implement learning plans aligned with business priorities; propose methodologies and conduct market research with external agencies.
- Maintain and optimize Market Research tools to build and share a knowledge base.
- Act as the contact point for international market research, including consumer selection and summarizing insights for management.
- Develop deep consumer knowledge from internal and external sources and share it with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track consumer feedback and develop actionable insights for the business.
- Assist brand builders in understanding core insights of the target audience.
- Serve as the voice of the consumer and collaborate with teams to enhance consumer centricity.
What will make you successful
- University degree in Marketing or equivalent
- At least 5-6 years of experience in Consumer and Market Insights (agency and/or client side)
- Strong communication & analytical skills
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research techniques
- Experience using Nielsen GT/GTC data and consumer panels
- Proficiency in Excel
- Fluent in English & French, any other language is an asset.
