Your team
Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business lines and include the Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Organisation, Risk and Tax departments.
In this role you will drive the advisory activities (market integrity, cross border matters, investor protection, ESG, AML and sanctions) at group level within Group Compliance and with key stakeholders of the 1st and 2nd lines of defence.
Your role
• Managing a small team of compliance experts in market integrity, cross border matters, investor protection, AML and sanctions. Allocating objectives and missions, as well as providing the necessary HR support (organising recruitments, development plans, performance appraisals, etc.).
• Sharing your expertise in defining the compliance framework and related projects.
• Remaining proactively abreast of the latest developments and analysing the impacts of any changes in regulations on the Group’s organisation/activities.
• Ensuring efficient coordination between compliance experts throughout the Group to ensure that processes and compliance risk management are harmonised.
• Providing advice and assistance on compliance-related issues to the compliance community and other business lines.
• Establish group policies and group minimum standards.
• Preparing and reviewing the yearly planning of activities and managing budgets accordingly.
• Being involved in account-opening activities for higher-risk clients of the Swiss bank; sitting on the Due Diligence Committee.
• Providing support with internal/external audits and requests from authorities.
Your profile
• At least 10 years’ experience in a compliance and/or risk management position.
• University degree in Law, Economics or Finance, or a recognised certification in Compliance Management.
• Proven successful experience as a team leader.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to express yourself in a structured way, both orally and in writing.
• Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken.
• Must be resident in Switzerland.
As the successful applicant, you will be solutions-oriented, proactive and have excellent communication skills. You will possess strong analytical and decision-making skills together with proven diplomatic and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to work on your own and cooperate efficiently with other stakeholders.
