Senior Risk Engineer

Zurich Resilience Solutions is seeking a Senior Risk Engineer with high hazard property, fire protection, chemical/petrochemical, general liability experience. This role focuses on supporting Zurich global customers from other regions with locations in China and Asia as well as local produced customers. This is a work from home role with expected travel to customer sites mainly within China but also to other Asian countries when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Helping our Underwriters:

Assess the quality of complex risks as described in the appropriate standard(s) and related competency level and assess loss potentials in accordance with agreed definitions.

• Helping our customers:'

Support customers by identifying, and reducing the risks that they face individually, and on an overall account basis. Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis), and implement risk improvement programs.

• Helping our business:

Share technical expertise with colleagues, business partners and customers through training delivery or participation in a Centre of Expertise or industry segment. Maintaining and developing relationships with customers, brokers and underwriters.

Basic Qualifications:

1)Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area

2)Experience working in a team environment

3)Fluent English

4)Chemical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

1)Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or related degree

2)Property manufacturing / high hazard risk assessment experience

3)Property loss control / risk engineering experience within the insurance industry

4)Petrochemical / chemical loss control / risk engineering experience

5)Business interruption risk assessment skills and experience

6)Fire protection expertise

7)Strong communication and consultative skills

8)Outstanding collaborative skills

9)High degree of proficiency related to PC and Software or systems
