UX Research Lead
As the UX research lead at Dentsply Sirona, you will be part of the global in-house UX team. We are a global multidisciplinary team, distributed across various locations, that is responsible for all Dentsply Sirona Software solutions. As we continue to evolve and expand our cloud-based software solutions, we are seeking a talented and passionate mixed-method UX Research Lead to establish and lead the UX research practices within our growing UX team. This is a new and exciting role where you will have the opportunity to establish the UX research function, and collaborate with UX designers, design producers, regulatory usability experts and other stakeholders to shape the future of our offerings. This role is located in Zurich (hybrid work model) with 80-100% capacity in a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish UX Research Practices: Develop and implement the UX research strategy for our cloud-based software solutions, defining the research roadmap, methodologies, and best practices. As this is a new role, you will be responsible for creating the foundation of the UX research function within our team
- UX research insights: Conduct a variety of user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and other qualitative and quantitative research methods, to gain deep insights into the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our users.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize research findings and data to inform and influence product design and development decisions. Advocate for the user's perspective and advocate for user needs throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Usability Testing and Feedback Loops: Establish a rapid usability testing program to validate design concepts and gather feedback for iterative improvements. Implement feedback loops to ensure continuous refinement of the user experience.
- Managing and Mentoring People: Lead and mentor a other UX researchers and foster a culture of user-centricity. This role requires a mis of hands on UX research work and establishing/growing the UX research function in our UX team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive psychology, Anthropology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a UX researcher in an industry setup, with focus on qualitative UX research methods.
- Proven track record of leading impactful UX research initiatives and driving user-centered design within organizations.
- Experience working with a global multi-disciplinary team of UX professionals, Product/Solution Managers and Architects/technical leads throughout the design process.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for UX research benefits and impact
- Business English Fluency is a must. Mastery of any other languages is a plus.
- Experience in conducting UX research in a complex B2B environment is advantageous.
- Ideally experience or interest in quantitative UX research methods.
- Experience or interest in bringing/establishing UX research in organisations is beneficial.
