Job reference: WD-0023805 What's the role? You will be our in-house consultant and partner for a business area in all its invention and patent related matters. Who is Hilti? What does the role involve? You will be actively engaged with development teams in their development projects in fostering and identifying inventions. You will secure the inventions by patent filings, conduct all national and international patent prosecution proceedings, and take care of portfolio management. You are steering the enforcement of our intellectual property rights.
You are monitoring and analysing our competitors’ patents in close collaboration with a business area. You advise its product development in regards of third-party patents and draft freedom-to-operate analyses.
You are supporting in drafting contracts within the framework of cooperation, development and licensing agreements. You’ll work with some of the industry’s most inventive companies.   • Completed studies in electrical engineering, physics or related fields

  • Successfully completed training as a German patent attorney, successfully passed examination as a European patent attorney or US patent attorney

  • Several years of experience in an industrial patent department or a patent law firm

  • Strong analytical skills and structured approach to work

  • Team player with excellent communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment

  • Very good command of English
