For decades, generating optimal query plans for databases, especially distributed ones, has been a hard and yet unsolved problem. State-of-the-art methods struggle entering petabyte scale.

Required Skills

• Passionate Python developer with a strong foundation in PyTorch
• Knowledge of Ray, Apache Spark, PrestoDB, SQL, DB2 or PostgreSQL is a plus
• Strong foundation in ML and DL
• Knowledge of Deep Reinforcement Learning or willingness to learn
• Academic writing skills
