Zurich North America is currently looking for a Head of Business Performance Management, US National Accounts (USNA), to lead the financial planning and performance management activities across multiple business units and functional units for the organization.

Reporting to the Head of Finance – National Accounts, and working closely with the business unit leadership, you will lead and direct a high-performing team of financial analysts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Driving business performance: Direct and develop financial analysis, and business insights to key stakeholders to drive effective decision making and contribute to maximizing the performance of the business unit.
  • Work with senior management on daily basis to develop and expand business opportunities and long-term strategic relationships. Review ongoing performance and enable course corrections.
  • Work cross-functionally and partner with key stakeholders to develop an in-depth understanding of business drivers which enable robust challenge across the different lines of business and support business optimization.
  • Lead the delivery of robust and ambitious annual financial plans and expense budgets for the business unit in order to drive continual performance improvements.
  • Direct preparation and/or analysis of all business unit financial results
  • Lead operating, strategic, and profitability reviews from the finance perspective on behalf of the business unit.
  • Engage on expense management for the BU working with the Head of Finance and Executive team to generate and deliver both operational and strategic initiatives to ensure short- and long-term achievement of key expense targets.
  • Direct the financial policy with the business unit and in support of Zurich's control environment.
  • Manage team of analyst direct reports, setting direction, assessing and managing performance, as well as providing oversight and coaching to support continuous learning and development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Financial Planning and Analysis or Reporting area.
  • Experience providing strategic financial insight and consultation to business leadership in Insurance or Financial services industry.
  • People management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or understanding of business and actuarial models.
  • Strong analytical skills, and strong digital and data affinity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • CPA, CPCU, CFA, CTP or MBA
