Presentation

A PhD position (85%) will be available at the laboratory of Prof. C. Hardtke of the Department of Plant Molecular Biology. The candidate is expected to build on recent progress in our lab and decipher how pH regulation and different receptor kinase pathways intersect to organize vascular stem cell behavior in the Arabidopsis thaliana root tip. Strongly motivated candidates who have demonstrated ‘wet lab’ expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Bioinformatics skills are a plus. An M.Sc. degree is a requirement.

At least half of the working time will be dedicated to the doctoral research. The rest of the time will be dedicated to various academic functions including some teaching assistance of under graduate biology students.
