For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Visp we are looking for a highly qualified Global Category Specialist for Cleanroom and EI&C.

Background:
The Clean Room Solutions and EI&C global category specialist, who manages the procurement category management activities in investment projects and coordinates with Capex Lead buyers the planning and execution of projects at the Visp site and all other sites.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Execution and updates of overall Category Strategy
• Management of demand, supply and capacity with key suppliers and stakeholders EI&C Equipment and Materials, EI&C Installation Works, Clean Room Solutions
• Supplier Relationship Management with key partners
• Monitoring markets for technological and regulatory trends
• Scanning market and internal stakeholder for identifying, analysing and mitigating risks
• Delivering regular reports on market intelligence for lead time and prices
• Development of purchasing execution strategies for the categories and projects
• Leading or supporting Procurement of EI&C Equipment and Materials, EI&C Installation Works, Clean Room Solutions on projects, as required.
• Strategic and operational procurement tasks, including
o Definition and implementation of the procurement strategy as well as targets / department or supplier, taking into account the market situation and classification of products
o Bundling of procurement measures within the plant and in conjunction with other sites
o Preparation, conclusion and maintenance of framework agreements
o Development of action plans, relationship management with suppliers, evaluation of new suppliers and management of strategic key account (supplier) activities
o Optimization of LifeCycleCost (LCC) and reduction of material, transport, ancillary and follow-up costs
• Coordination, lead or participation in projects to further the development and improve the efficiency of technical purchasing as well as to achieve common targets
• Member of the Global Category Team for Construction, Fit-out and Automation
• Leading and responsible for large & complex RFQ packages End to End
• Responsible for weekly update of his/her packages in Procurement Management Plan (PMP)
• Supporting on medium & simple RFQ packages
• Supporting team with category specific benchmarks and costs break downs

Must Haves:
• Technical or Commercial training (Uni or FH)
Preferred area of study: Process engineering, chemical engineering, business management, project management, supply chain, electrical or Computer Engineering
• At least 3 years pharma or biotech industry or similar environment with sterile environment (e.g. semiconductors for clean rooms)
• At least 2 years' experience doing tendering of complex and large E&IC, clean room or cold room packages in GMP environment for the relevant industry
• At least 7 years of experience in plant construction as well as in the areas of purchasing, sales, contract management and project management related with Clean Room Solutions and EI&C
• At least 2 years` experience with category management, meaning has done at least once a category strategy and implemented
• High expertise in regional (EU and UK) and local market (DACH region) for relevant categories
• Solution-oriented approach to managing conflicts
• Fluent English, French is a plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills- stakeholder management
• Project and procurement management
• Team player with ability to work efficiently in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams
• PC skills: MS Office, SAP
• Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Initiative and resilience
• Able to work under pressure

Nice to Haves:
• German language skills
• Has experience working in Switzerland in Pharma or Capex
• Has participate in at least one capex project from early engineering until MC or OQ/PQ.
• Has experience with claims
• Has experience in agile project management methods
• Advanced level negotiations
• Advanced level in contract management
• Advanced degree in supply chain, business management, trade or economics
• Procurement or supply Certifications (e.g. CIPS)
