The Position

The Import Export & Customs Sub-Chapter, as part of Instrument Operations at Roche Diagnostics International AG in Rotkreuz, is responsible for handling inbound and outbound goods flow at the site. Furthermore, the team ensures compliance with national and international laws and regulations with the authorities and ensures internal compliance requirements. Additionally, the team supports RDI in import, export, customs, transport, and international trade matters.

Your Opportunity:

  • Responsible for activities, processes, and compliance in the areas of import, customs, export, forwarding and transport management.

  • Technical and personnel leadership of the team, including workforce planning, task allocation (including substitution), development of work processes, performance management, and employee development.

  • Ensure day-to-day operations (import customs clearance, timely delivery of goods, organizing transports).

  • Stakeholder management with various interface partners within RDI (RDI Instrument Operations, RDI Intercompany Supply Chain & Pricing, RD Switzerland, RDCI Diabetes Care, RDI Rotkreuz Site, RDI Finance).

  • Support, advise, and provide expertise and services to internal customers regarding the Import & Export team's services and needs analysis.

  • Raise awareness and provide training to the workforce at the site regarding import, export, and customs topics to ensure export compliance according to Roche export control standards.

  • Maintenance and further development of necessary applications for the area of responsibility.

  • Collaborate and lead interdisciplinary project groups.

Who you are:

  • You are an integral, self-reflective personality with strong communication skills, have an open ear for the daily challenges of your team members, and offer them professional and personal support.

  • You strengthen trust within the team through transparency and delegation of responsibility, providing direction to the team through your strategic vision and foresight.

  • You have a degree as an external trade specialist (or similar further education) and several years of professional experience as well as solid leadership experience in a complex environment with frequent customer contact. Completed training as a business economist HF, business economist FH, or Swiss certified external trade manager is a plus.

  • You are characterized by a very high service orientation, commitment, and a strong sense of duty. Your working style is very independent and proactive, and you have high social competence.

  • A growth mindset for new projects, agile methods, and affinity for handling IT tools (SAP TM, GTS, Google, MS Office, and user programs) complete your profile.

  • Very good communication skills in both written and spoken German and English are required.
