Your new responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert in the role of team architect for a central platform service in the building twin value stream, which ensures that the data from connected devices are delivered and distributed in our cloud platform


• Drive the creation of a functional architecture for our products in the field of building technology


• Verify and validate the concepts in line with technical and commercial realities


• Take on a leading role within the scrum team in all technical aspects. E.g. ensure that the team members understand architecture requirements, deliver in the right quality and built-up & distribute know-how


• Lead the technical implementation of concepts for distributed systems


• Ensure a balance between enabler and business requirements by collaborating closely with Product Management, System Architects and other stakeholders on a global scale with international colleagues in Europe and other continents


• Ensure a central platform service operates safely and reliably


• Take on a leading role in communities of practice and contribute with your technical expertise


• We work with agile methods, strive towards a dev ops approach, and focus on automation and improving our workflows

 

Your talents and experience

• An academic degree in information science or a related field


• Expertise in data streaming and timeseries databases, e.g. DynamoDB, Kinesis Data Stream, SQS, SNS, Apache Kafka (AWS MKS)


• Knowledge of OAuth2, APIs and protocols such as WebSockets or MQTT


• Knowledge of cloud native software development tools such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, Git – ideally you bring along full stack development experience


• Development language: experience with golang is a plus


• Experience in building continuous delivery pipelines in cloud environments is highly advantageous. Understanding of agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code is strongly desired.


• Strong interpersonal skills for leading and collaborating in global teams, effectively presenting ideas and concepts to other stakeholders


• Fluent English skills and committed to learning German upon starting, if not already proficient in the language
